MOORHEAD – Police here say a high-risk sex offender is moving to Moorhead on Thursday.
Moorhead police Lt. Brad Penas said Eric Joseph Fanning, 51, was released from the Minnesota Department of Corrections on March 31 and is set to move to the 1000 block of 10th Street South in Moorhead.
Fanning was convicted in Benton County, Minn., of forcible sexual contact, including penetration, with his adult female victims. He had met his victims the same day he committed his crimes, Penas said.
Fanning is a white man, five feet, nine inches tall, 189 pounds with a medium build, green eyes and brown hair.
He is classified as a level III predatory offender, the highest risk category.
