Chicago, IL (WDAY TV) - Game 5s in the playoffs haven't been kind to the Minnesota Wild in recent history.

They've lost their last four, but after winning games 3 and 4 in convincing fashion.

Zach Parise and the Wild had their sights set on taking the series lead against the defending cup champion Blackhawks tonight in Chicago.

Great start for Minnesota, the former Gopher Erik Haula, turns on the jets, follows his own shot, flips the rebound high, and it tear drops into the goal for a 1-0 Wild lead.

Haula's 3rd goal of the postseason.

But, the Hawks even the score in the 2nd, Patrick Kane's shot deflects off Bryan Bickell and in for a power play goal, game tied at one.

In the 3rd, Chicago gets the go-ahead goal, the bouncing puck, lands on the stick of former UND star Jonathan Toews, who has a nose for the net, 2-1 Hawks.

In the east, the Rangers beat the Penguins, 3-1, to force a game 7.
