Sacramento, CA (CNN) - You may remember the recent story of a California couple who made an incredible find while walking their dog -- buried treasure.

Their discovery of dozens of 19th-century gold coins, now called the "Saddle Ridge Hoard," is worth an estimated $11 million. Some of the priceless coins are going on public display this weekend near Sacramento.

From paintings to American flags, history will be told at the Nevada County Fair Grounds, but there is one item that is sure to steal the show.

Silver swords worth thousands; a shotgun owned by Clark Gable. It will all be under one roof at Withrells Old West Show, but the shining star might be the gold coins.

Donald Kagin, Ph.D – Rare Coin Expert: "We're kinda bringing the coins back to where they were buried, in the gold country."

The story is something out of a novel. A California couple finds several rusty cans filled with rare gold coins buried on their property in the foothills. Their loot is expected to fetch eleven million dollars.

What you’ll notice most about the coins is what great condition they're in, considering they sat in dirt for more than 100 years -- possibly left behind by old miners. Their beautiful glow instantly makes visitors here put themselves in the lucky couple’s shoes.

Only some of the coins will be here. But with hundreds of thousands of dollars on display, armed guards will be on the lookout. The coin could bring a big crowd this weekend as a tale of riches returns to the gold country -- a place that's lured many before with high hopes of striking it rich.

The gold coins will be on display through Saturday, it won't cost you millions for admission, just seven dollars.
