Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - After a two and a half hour rain delay, the NDSU softball team took on IUPUI, in the Summit League tournament.

The Jaguars opened up a 6-1 lead in the 4th.

But the Bison get the bats going in the form of the long ball, after a Jenina Ortega home run, Amanda Grable unloads on this pitch, the back to back homers start a Bison come back.

Jags still up 6-4 in the 5th when NDSU takes their first lead, Jackie Stifter slaps a single to left field that clears the bases, with the help of a throwing error, NDSU goes up 7-6.

But the Jags answer right back for good, as in Maggie Good, she blast a 3 run shot to left, IUPUI wins it 15-8.

Darren Mueller/NDSU Head Coach: “Your down to one game, all we have left right now is one game and if we win that we have another game, it's that time of year you just gotta put it all out on the line and that's what our message to the team was right there. Nothing we can do about the result now, so we gotta regroup and get better and each person and even us coaches what we can do to make the games better for us tomorrow.”

NDSU now will play USD tomorrow at 12:30 in a loser out game.
