St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - the Minnesota Wild made it to round two in the most dramatic fashion possible, and overtime winner in game 7.
Well, consider Chicago the buzzkill of that emotional ride.
After pulling away from the Wild late in game one, Jonathan Toews and the Hawks took care of business in game two.
Nice start for Chicago, Marian Hossa in all alone, Ilya Bryzgalov makes the kick-save, but the puck bounces high and Toews, the former UND standout puts it in for a 1-0 lead.
Chicago led 2-0 after two, but 2-goal leads have meant nothing in this year's playoffs.
And 2 minutes in, Clayton Stoner sets up Cody Mcormick, yeah, he's a Wild player, we checked the roster.
He cuts the lead in half at 2-1.
It stayed that way until the final minutes, when the Hawks showed their speed again,
2 on 1, Bryan Bickell goes top-shelf.
Game over. Chicago wins, 4-1.
The Wild fall behind 2-0 in the best of 7 series.
