Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The NDSU men's basketball team lost and added a recruit in a matter of 12 hours, last night Prior Lake guard Jon Sobaski tweeted he had been released from his letter of intent and was signing with Concordia-St. Paul.

The Bison didn't waste any time, adding 6'9 big man Spencer Eliason from Chadron, Nebraska.

If that last name sounds familiar it should, his older brother Elliott plays for the Gophers.

Spencer is your typical late bloomer, he told me today he was 5'11 as a freshman, he's now scraping doorframes at 6'9.

Spencer Eliason/New NDSU Recruit: “Coach Richman was coach initiated contact with me, who I had contact with me entire time, so when I heard he was head coach it was great good connection, honest guy, good situation for me, my parents are super proud of us, growing up watching my brother go thru the process obviously on bigger stage that's what I wanted to do and had to push for.”

Eliason is the 4th incoming player for 2014 and the first out of Nebraska for NDSU, they have 2 available scholarships.
