Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Newman Outdoor Field took on nearly 2 and a half inches of rain over the last couple of days, but it's good shape for Tuesday’s rivalry game as NDSU will look to keep its hot play going as they host rival UND.

The Bison enter tonight's game winners of 8 of their last 10.

A big reason why NDSU has had some recent success is because of their upper classmen; their Top 4 hitters are seniors, and 90 of the team's 136 runs have been driven in by a senior.

David Ernst/ NDSU Jr. Pitcher: “Tim at the leadoff spot, then Satsinger and Kleinendorst at the 3-4 spot. They are our leaders. We always look up to them and they always seem to get the job done. Being seniors, it's kind of expected of them. They've stepped into that role beautifully.”

Tod Brown/ NDSU Head Coach: “We're relying on our seniors who have been in our program for multiple years. They have a lot of at-bats underneath their belt to lead the way and give the opportunity for some of our younger guys to put them in the spot that they can handle, especially early in their careers.”

First pitch coming at the bottom of the hour; first of a two game series, they'll play again next week.
