FARGO – Eric Henderson, who has college coaching experience at Wayne State (Neb.) and Iowa State, has been named an assistant men’s basketball coach at North Dakota State.

Henderson most recently served five seasons as the head boys basketball coach at Burlington (Wis.) Catholic Central leading his team to a 21-5 record last season.

Henderson spent three seasons at Iowa State under then head coach Greg McDermott. He played four seasons at Wayne State under McDermott, helping the Wildcats make back-to-back NCAA Division II tournament appearances.

Henderson was hired by David Richman, who was named to replace Saul Phillips as NDSU’s head coach two weeks ago.
