ST. PAUL – The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities chancellor has recommended Anne Blackhurst to become the next president of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Chancellor Steven Rosenstone said he interviewed two finalists for the job: Blackhurst, provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at MSUM, and Carlos Vargas-Aburto, provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees must now approve the chancellor's recommendation. The board is expected to announce its decision later today.
