St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - The long grind of the NHL regular season is over and for the Minnesota Wild now the real fun begins.

After days of wondering who they would play, it's Colorado, a team they've faced twice before in the playoffs, the Avalanche had a remarkable turnaround year and the Wild know their best hockey has to come now.

Mike Yeo/Wild Head Coach: “You have to make sure that our focus is on the playoffs, but with that said when things don't go well that's usually when you're trying to play a cautious game. That's when bad things end up happening. Likewise, we have to make sure that we're keeping our foot on the gas as much as possible here. We've talked so long about how we feel good about our game. That can leave you in a hurry, too. So, making sure that you can keep the intensity up and you want to carry that momentum into the playoffs with you.”

Avalanche won four of the five meetings with Minnesota during the regular season.
