Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Rural towns outside of Fargo Moorhead will see some new wheels showing up in town.
The non-profit group, HERO, has just purchased a large truck that will allow the organization to do "pick-ups" of donations in surrounding rural towns.
As the group grows, it has become hard for some in the outlying areas to access services of HERO, which recycles and re-distributes hospital equipment and supplies to people in need.
HERO Mobile will be up and running this summer, and will have a set schedule and stopping points around the region.
Anne Virginia Lindstrom/ HERO: “With the truck we can have a reliable schedule so people can expect to have the HERO truck come by for people in outlying communities who cannot make it into the store.”
And what a year for HERO.
It served 3,000 individuals and agencies locally this past year and helped supply 50-medical mission teams traveling overseas.
HERO has its annual big fundraiser coming up, April 24th at the Ramada.
