Philadelphia, PA (WDAY TV) - The reaction around the Red River Valley to last night's Minnesota-UND game ranges from shock to joy to devastation, and it all happened with less than a second to go.

Last night's game had everything you could ask for, including a dramatic ending.

The Gophers were even shorthanded when Justin Holl came into the zone and picked up a loose puck and fired home the game winner with .6 seconds left to stun North Dakota and send Minnesota to the national championship game.

Steph Pattyn/ UND Sr. Forward: “This whole season started the year, we had some adversity, we didn't have identity, we saw identity as a unit in this postseason.”

Nick Mattson/ UND Jr. Defenseman: “Nobody thought we were going to be here. It felt good to get to this point but kinda feels like we left something on the table. That's the game it's single elimination style tournament. This is the stuff that happens.”

Justin Holl/ Scored Game Winning Goal: “I think we were focusing on killing the penalty and getting to overtime. It just developed where there were 5 seconds left and it went in.”

Don Lucia/ Gophers Head Coach: “The penalty at the end of the game was huge, we thought we were going to kill it, we jumped up and no better time for Justin to score his first goal of the season that's our team, we haven't relied on one guy new guy has to step forward.”

It's the 5th straight loss for UND in the Frozen Four.
