Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Minnesota State Community and Technical College is looking to get $6.54 million in bonding, and State officials visited the Moorhead Campus today to show support.

Minnesota's Department of Employment and Economic Development commissioner Katie Clark Sieben, and Office of Higher Education commissioner Larry Pogemiller made the stop.

The taxpayer dollars from the bonding would help upgrade the school's Transportation Center, creating new and larger diesel technology labs.

Katie Clark Sieben/ Commissioner, MN DEED: “We have many positive indicators of economic growth across our state and one of the reasons why that's happening is because of the strong, productive, educated work force that we have here in the state so we need to continue to make smart investments.”

The college upgrades is part of $233-million in bonding proposed by Governor Dayton.
