Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - Year five at Target Field began this afternoon for the Twins, a place over the past three years that has been a decided disadvantage for Minnesota, the third worst home winning percentage over that time.

If Minnesota wants to start climbing the standings, they need to be better at home, facing AL west champion Oakland.

Kevin Correia was tabbed as the starter for this one, he ran into problems early down 2-0, but got some help from an unlikely defensive source.

Look at Chris Colabello with the nice diving catch, the Italian Stallion then doubles off the runner at second, was named AL player of the week today.

Same score in the 2nd, Aaron Hicks rips one into the gap, Kurt Suzuki comes roaring around third base to score, cuts it to a 2-1 game.

A's though continue to pound the baseball, Brandon Moss with the bleeder thru the shift, that scores two runs, that made it 5-1.

now 5-3.
