Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Military officials in Fort Hood say there is "very strong evidence" the gunman that killed three and injured 16 others may have been mentally unstable.

The Fargo VA has dramatically increased the number of services offered here and across the state to veterans.

With PTSD such a "front burner" issue, there are now satellite clinics, tele-medicine and group therapy to work with returning soldiers battling mental health issues.

This has resulted in more social workers, a 24-hour live hotline, and more mental health experts on staff.

Dr. Jessica Gustin/VA Clinical Psychologist: “What is great about the treatments we offer and the vets find great benefits from them and get much better and that was not always the case for vets coming back.

The VA even offers yoga and music therapy as some of the elements of treatment.
