Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Get ready for another round of "you betcha's" and "don’t cha knows" as Fargo gets the Hollywood treatment once more.

FX is bringing the world of Fargo to cable television.

It's been 18 years since the Coen brothers immortalized this Iconic Wood chipper with their Oscar nominated Film "Fargo" in 1996.

Now, the television spin off is promising all new characters, and an expanded "Fargo" universe.

Brandon Smith/New Fargo Resident: "If it's anything like the movie, it’s going to be interesting."

Come April 15th, we'll get to see just how different FX's "Fargo" is from the original, but we're already getting a taste, with the first 7 minutes of the first episode released today.

But just like the original film it's based off of, expect mixed emotions.

Charley Johnson/CEO, FMCVB: "It's a love/hate kind of a thing a lot of people you know don't necessarily like the idea of the film but yet on the other hand it’s become a thing that Fargo is known for."

And promotions are ramping up if you have any friends in major cities, you may have recently been sent a picture like this.

In fact, much of the country is getting excited about the show, showcased by a quick search of Fargo on Twitter.

"Kind of excited to see it come out on FX.”

For those of us living in the title town, we getting a chance to catch the premiere episode in Hollywood style for free at the Fargo Theatre, where we'll even be able to rub elbows with a member of the cast.

Nicole Holden/Marketing Director FMCVB: "Tom Musgrave, whose actually a valley city native went to school at MSUM is in the show. He's in LA now. He plays Bo Munk.”

One things for sure, with a tag line like "because some people can't be killed with kindness", you can expect the show to be just as dark as the movie.

The show will premiere on FX at 9 p.m. central on April 15th.
