Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With a 2-run lead and an all-star on the mound to close it out, you thought the Twins would be assured their first win of the season this afternoon.

But, nothing has been that easy over the last few years for Ron Gardenhire and the Twins.

Tied at 3 in the 7th, 2 on for Trevor Plouffe, who's off to a great start, he drives in 2 with this single to right.

3 hits for Plouffe today.

Minnesota up 5-3.

Chicago gets one back on a home run, but in the top of the 9th,

Kurt Suzuki, the twins MVP so far this season, doubles in a run for his team-leading 4th RBI.

The Twins former catcher Joe Mauer still doesn't have a hit yet.

Twins up 6-4.

Glen Perkins came on for the save, after allowing one run, he gets Adam Eaton to chop one to third, should be a simple play but Trevor Plouffe one hops a throw to the plate and the tying run scores.

We go to extra innings, Sam Deduno with 2 outs and 2 on in the 11th, and he throws this one way outside,

Leury Garcia scores easily from third to win it.

The Twins let one get away, 7-6 the final.

The series wraps up tomorrow afternoon.
