Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Winter-like weather, dicey travel, a dense fog advisory.

Yup - its spring, the calendar officially turned to spring this afternoon.

Sharon Hayes/Moorhead: “A little more sunshine, hahaha.”

Heading outside this morning, you have to look closely to see signs of spring peeking through.

Jack Stevens/Moorhead Driver: “Fog.”

Snow melting, trees beginning to bud, and ducks out for a dip.

Rich Vos/Dilworth: “I wanted it to be crystal clear because I was hoping for some sunshine.”

A thick cloud of white, coating the Valley, blocking our way to a bright start of the spring season.

Vos: “It was foggy all over the place, so you couldn't see very far.”

With such low visibility, it's pretty easy to get lost in all of this mist. If you're not careful, you may not have the foggiest idea where you are.

Hayes: “Well like driving, you maybe don't go into the one lane as quick as you would the other. You know, you watch a little more careful with the cars.”

Travel was slow and steady this morning while a dense fog advisory was in effect.

Hayes: “I think it's lifted a little bit.”

But these spring hopefuls say even through the fog, with possible snow on the way.

Stevens: “It don't bother me, as long as I know we're going this way now. So I’m fine.”

“Can only get warmer from here?”

Stevens: “That's right.”

Springtime will come, even if they have to drag it here.

Hayes: “It's better than what it's been.”

Vos: “I'm looking positively at it and it's going to get better.”
