Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - There was a pair of local snocross riders in town this weekend; one you have probably hear of, and another you just may want to get to know.
Tucker Hibbert is the best snowmobiler in the world. The Pelican Rapids native has owned the sport for over a decade.
He now has 91 Pro National Snocross race wins in his career,
and it's hard to wonder what still motivates him.
TH: "Just to try and be better every time I go out there. I mean I've had a lot of success and I just want to keep improving and keep getting better and that's one cool thing about racing is you can always find ways to be better."
While Hibbert is the king of snocross, he is also helping another local rider make a big splash.
TH: "It's awesome having Logan Christian for me to practice with and race with, we have been good friends for a long time and it's a lot of fun at the race track when you've got a friend out there racing with you and we are practicing hard during the week and pushing each other."
Logan Christian is now in his fourth full year as a professional. The Fertile native has improved each season in the standings and says things are now clicking.
LC: "It's really fun to know that I've accomplished it and now I'm just trying to make a name for myself and be the best. You know when I say I've made it not like life is just floating by and now it's easy. I'm working harder than I ever have right now doing the gym work, doing the testing on the track it's not just go out there and throw some whips and have fun. During the week we are testing clutches, testing suspension and stuff so just keep striving everyday for results and once you get the results, that fame and the name will come. I'm excited for the future and what the future has and I'm just gonna keep pushing and striving to be the best and hopefully be the one that takes him down."
Christian finished second at Buffalo River Race Park Saturday night. The two racers have one stop let in the season this weekend in Wisconsin.
Perham's Gabriele Grunewald places 10 in the World Indoor Championships.
