Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -The next state tournament up on the docket is Minnesota state wrestling, which is becoming familiar territory for the Moorhead Spuds.

Skip Toops has been the head coach of the team for three years and this is his second trip to

St. Paul.

There was no rebuilding for this team after graduating state champ Chase Morlock as the Spuds have racked up a 20-3 record and are using last year's state trip to help them for this week.

Kenny Mark, Spuds senior: “I think our confidence is probably at an all-time high, we have worked really hard and we believe that we can compete with the best and that's what we are gonna do.”

Skip Toops, Spuds head coach: “The one thing about us is that we have the attitude that we don't lay down for anybody. We fight no matter who we are wrestling, it doesn't matter if we are wrestling the best kid in the nation or the best team in the nation, we are gonna go out there and fight for six minutes. I know our team has confidence, it's because of the work we put in, it's because of the attitude we have and it's because we never give up.”

Moorhead faces St. Michael-Albertville in the opening round on Thursday, Frazee has qualified for state as well, the Hornets get Bertha-Hewitt.
