Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A six hour wait was nothing yesterday for Dale Earnhardt, junior who had been waiting ten years to get back to victory lane at Daytona.

Nascar's most popular driver had wait like everyone else between rain drops yesterday.

But when the race did resume last night, Earnhardt returned to victory lane, winning his 2nd Daytona 500 and in the process ending a 55 race losing streak that dated back to 2012.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr/2014 Daytona 500 Champion: “I was lucky enough to win this race in 2004, and it's the greatest feeling to have as a driver in Nascar on a single day, just trying to explain that feeling been trying for 10 years to put into words what this race means to you.”

Earnhardt becomes the 11th driver to win multiple Daytona 500's.
