Chase Montplaisir becomes 7th local player to verbally commit to MSUM for 2014 season

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The connection between MSU Moorhead and Shanley will continue to strengthen next season as Deacons quarterback Chase Montplaisir will play football for the Dragons next fall.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The connection between MSU Moorhead and Shanley will continue to strengthen next season as Deacons quarterback Chase Montplaisir will play football for the Dragons next fall.

Montplaisir will join his older brother Myles, who plays at MSUM and former Shanley coach Steve Laqua.

Montplaisir started the last two years at Shanley, leading the Deacons to the state championship in 2012, he threw for 15 hundred yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, his older brother Myles moved from quarterback to tight end during his time with the Dragons; he becomes the 7th local player to verbally commit to MSUM for 2014.
